WROCŁAW UNIVERSITY OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND LIFE SCIENCES (WUELS) is one of the best specialized Universities in the country. It focuses its wide-ranging activities on education and research covering agriculture and related sciences. At present, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, a well-recognized scientific and educational center, is the only agricultural University in the south-west region of Poland. The WUELS employs about 1,600 people, among them 748 are academic teachers. Young faculty represents more than 200 graduate students and 380 scientists under 35 years. Nearly 10 thousand of students are enrolled on 5 faculties in the WUELS. 

Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences is one of the few Polish universities featured in a prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities, it has been distinguished with Human Resources Excellence in Research logo, and is successfully implementing a cutting-edge Polish-Chinese studies program. 

The WUELS is also a leader in innovation. In terms of granted patents it ranks second among Polish Universities (79 patents granted in 2015, 310 in the last 5 years). Three of its faculties gained the status of Leading National Research Center within the framework of Wroclaw Center for Biotechnology consortium in the field of agricultural sciences. First implementation in Poland of the results of research and development co-financed by the EU was developed at the WUELS and it concerned the technology of permanent retain of water in the soil. 

Two campuses located in the center of Wroclaw have modern teaching facilities, well-equipped laboratories, and lecture halls. In 2015, high-tech Center for Geo-Info-Hydro was opened and scientific equipment with a total value of almost €4 million was purchased. 

The University currently offers five fields of study: one uniform Master’s program in Veterinary Medicine, and four regular Master’s programs, including the recently launched Polish-Chinese studies. It’s worth noting that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has been awarded with the EAEVE certificate attesting the highest standards of education in Europe.

Poland is becoming a popular study destination for prospective candidates and according to Study Portals report the country is entering the top 3 of International Student Satisfaction Awards

Studying in Poland is relatively cheap. It is much cheaper than studying and living in the United States, Germany, Australia and many other places. Monthly expenses are usually from EUR 280 to EUR 300.
