The learning structure at AAU places emphasis on practical skills and the real-world experience that employers are looking for, and internships are included as part of your study program at AAU. We cooperate closely with companies, organizations, and experts related to your future professions, better preparing you to achieve success in your chosen field by giving you the tools to land a great job soon after graduation. Our alumni excel in their further professional and academic careers and enjoy work worldwide in top positions in business, academia, politics, diplomacy and media.

The high quality of education you receive at AAU is guaranteed by internationally recognized accreditations and faculty trained at some of the world’s top universities including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Berkeley, Oxford, Cambridge, Paris-Sorbonne and more. Coupled with this quality, we bring value, as AAU’s degree programs are provided at a fraction of the cost of similarly accredited programs around the world. Meanwhile, living in Prague is affordable with daily expenses less than half of those in popular cities like London, Paris, New York, or Tokyo.

More in-class discussion and projects as opposed to rote memorization allows your mind to actively develop crucial critical and creative thinking skills. AAU’s classes are small and interactive; with an average class enrollment of 15, our approach is much more personalized inside the classroom and out. Increased educator-to-learner time better supports your development as an effective communicator and a better and more versatile thinker.

Our hardest working students earn merit-based scholarships (10 – 100% discount on tuition) after two semesters of study at AAU. Excellent candidates applying to AAU can also receive a scholarship from the beginning of their studies. Dedication opens our outstanding students to more opportunities to participate in coveted student projects for companies and organizations and to attend high profile networking events.

Because of AAU’s diverse student body, with over 70 different nationalities represented, and a faculty and staff of over 20 different nationalities, your entire university experience will be in itself a masterclass in cross-cultural communication. At AAU, you will draw inspiration from classmates from all over the world, learning how to work and cooperate with people of numerous backgrounds holding various viewpoints and philosophies. Last but not least, you will leave AAU with a network of friends and connections spanning the globe.

As a not-for-profit university, AAU continually reinvests in the betterment of its community and educational models. We work together with high schools, our students, faculty, and alumni to develop a sense of ethical consciousness and social responsibility towards each other and the planet.

The School of International Relations & Diplomacy covers the areas of theories of international relations, international political economy, international development, international law, conflict studies, diplomatic history, diplomatic protocol, and more. The undergraduate and graduate programs at this School give graduates a strong understanding of the theory and practice needed to excel in the dynamic fields of international relations and diplomacy.
